Course Description • This is a required 11th grade course, which must be passed to qualify for graduation. After a review of the American Revolution, the Constitution, the Civil War, and Reconstruction, U.S. History students will examine 20th century America. Topics include the Industrialization, the Progressive Era, Jazz Age, Great Depression, World War I, World War II, the Cold War, Japanese-American Internment, the Civil Rights Movement, Vietnam War, and present-day U.S. issues. You will be exposed to a variety of interpretations of history and shall be required to defend various points of view.
