Instructional Methods
• The primary method of instruction will be discussion/lecture. Within this framework students are encouraged to participate, question and make appropriate comments. Time will not permit instruction on all points in the text. Discussion will be student driven; therefore, it is paramount that students read the material. Failure to do so will lead to the road of disappointment and frustration.
• Student driven discussion (inquiry method)
• Lecture Notes (Power point)
• Activities including homework and classroom assignments
Test and Quiz Procedures
• Day of test or quiz you will get a few minutes to study
• Once everything has been put up the answer sheets will be handed out
• Put names and test on the answer sheet (3 different tests are given)
• There is never any talking during or after a test. If you do talk your test will be zeroed out with no make-up
• Never write on the tests only the answer sheets
• When finished turn both test and answer sheet in to me
• There will be an assignment you can start on after the test
Classroom Procedures
* Be in your seat with materials ready to go when bell rings
* You get a minute to transition into the next activity so you can't waste time
* I will let you know when to start shutting it down so don't stop working until I say something
* Stay in your seat until the bell rings. DO NOT gather at the door
Make-Up Procedures
• All work due upon a planned absence will be due upon return.
• All work due to illness or other excused unscheduled absences, you will have the number of days you missed to turn it in (i.e. if you miss two days you have two days to make up the work).
• If you miss a test it will be made up the next day you show up.
Fire Drill/Tornado Drill
•Occasionally throughout the year we will have fire and tornado drills.

–We will leave the classroom and go out the north doors by the 300 hall

–Line up in the hallway next to the hall behind my desk
